CAR RENT REQUIREMENTS
DRIVER'S AGE:
For categories A, B the minimum age limit is 23 years and two (2) years of experience since obtaining the driver's license.
For all other categories the minimum age limit is 25 years. For all categories the upper age limit is 78 years.
The driver's license should be Greek, European (for EU countries) or International (for non-EU countries).
NOTE: CDW or FDW insurance should be between 25 – 70 years old.
WARRANTY:
Upon receipt of the vehicle, our company has the right to (in special cases) block on your credit card, a guarantee amount depending on each vehicle which is returned in its entirety at the end of the lease, provided that it will not other charges arise (e.g. due to wear and tear or non-replenishment of fuel).
ADDITIONAL GUIDE/S: Pre-booking Free, otherwise €3 Daily fee for each additional guide.
FEE FOR DELIVERY TO THE AIRPORT OR HOTEL: Free
FUEL POLICY: Full to Full.
FUEL SERVICE CHARGE:
In the event that the vehicle on return does not have the same amount of fuel as it had upon receipt, there is a surcharge of ten (10) euros, in addition to the cost of the gasoline consumed. In case of collection of the vehicle from the place of residence (e.g. hotel) and in case of refusal to refill fuel, this amount will be withheld from your credit card.
TRANSPORTATION BY SHIP: Not allowed. By permission only
RENTAL OUTSIDE BORDERS: Not allowed.
TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS: All fines and consequences of administrative sanctions are borne by the lessee.
ROAD ASSISTANCE: 24-hour service is PROVIDED through the rental company Enjoy Samos Rentals.
INSURANCE POLICY
All Enjoy Samos Rentals authorized car drivers are exempt from theft damage to the rental car.
SECURITY WITH DISCHARGE (CDW):
Coverage Description:
Personal accident (involving driver injury)
Bodily injuries per person
Care at the scene of the accident
Material damage to third parties per accident
Material damage from an uninsured vehicle
The lessee's liability for damage to the rental vehicle may be limited, provided that the Code of Conduct is not violated, to the minimum charge of:
– A, B class: €850
– C, D class: €950
– Diesel, Automatic, Cabrio: €1000
– SUV: €1000
This insurance does not cover:
Immobilization compensation (for lost earnings during vehicle repair)
Towing expenses that may arise as a result of breakdown or accident.
Expenses in case of damage, destruction or loss of key.
Driving under the influence of alcohol & drugs,
driving on a dirt road,
abnormal use of the vehicle,
STOP violation,
traffic light violation,
any violation of the C.O.K. code,
damage to the underbody or wheels and tires of the vehicle, broken glass,
any service NOT approved by our Company,
any damage to the interior of the car (unless caused by a collision),
damage / loss of child seats, GPS devices,
driving by another driver who is not stated in the rental contract.
FULL DEFENSE SECURITY (FDW)
Coverage Description:
Full insurance with no participation fee.
Personal driver accident
Bodily injuries per victim
Care at the scene of the accident
Material damage to third parties per accident
Material damage from an uninsured vehicle
and ADDITIONALLY:
-Exemption from immobilization compensation (for lost profits during vehicle repair),
-Exemption from towing costs as a result of damage or accident.
Note: This insurance does not apply to drivers under the age of 25 and over the age of 70.
ACCIDENT FILE COSTS:
The driver is charged €100 in case of an accident. This amount is non-refundable.
Note: The renter can purchase the full insurance if he is 25 – 70 years old.
WHAT THE INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER!
Driving under the influence of alcohol & drugs, driving on a dirt road, abnormal use of the vehicle, STOP violation, traffic light violation, any violation of the C.O.C. code, damage to the underbody or wheels and tires of the vehicle, any service NOT approved by our Company, cleaning costs or damage to the interior of the car, damage, destruction or loss of a key, driving by another driver who is not stated in the rental contract. In these cases the driver covers the cost of the same damages.
AFTER THE RENTAL If you have been issued a charge, such as a speeding summons or unpaid traffic fines, the car rental company will try to contact you when the authorities ask for the driver's name. This can happen months after the rental and you will need to pay the administration fees as well as the initial fee.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
The company provides the following payment options:
A. By cash in our store at the start of the rental
B. Debit / Credit Card
For payment using a credit or debit card, the card number, the expiry date, the name of the holder and the three-digit security number (CVV/CVC/CVV2) are requested.
The company does not keep bank card details under any circumstances.
It is possible to pay via credit, debit and prepaid cards Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Diners.
Payment will be made at the start of renting the vehicle.
